I just got done putting a new belt on and before i decided to start it i figured i would tap the key and just try to turn it over to make sure the belt seated correctly. Well after i turned over on the 3rd time then tried to start it, it will now not start. It wont even turn over. Starter engages but will not turn engine over. Lights do not dim when i hold the key. I believe i fried the starter by clicking it and not letting it start??? any help would be appriciated. I checked all the fuses.

I doubt you fried the ignition switch or the starter with what you did. "Starter engages but will not turn engine over." - I don't know what this means exactly. If the starter engages and ties spinning the engine, there will be draw on battery and lights will dim. I would make sure the neutral safety switch is OK, maybe jiggle the gear selector switch, or ignition switch, while trying to start, see what happens. And don't overlook trying a jump start. try.
