PT Cruiser Convt. vs. Sebring Convt.

I'm thinking of trading my '90 Miata for a more comfortable and roomy convertible. I have always had great service from my Chrysler vehicles (Shadow ES, Vogager, Jeep Liberty) and so am comparing a "slightly used" (under 12,000 miles) PT Cruiser Turbo Convertible (Touring) and a new style Sebring Convertible (4 cyl.) with cloth top. The Sebring appears much larger than the PT, yet the mileage is listed as higher than the PT. I LOVE the PT Conv. but have read very poor mileage reports (under 20 mpg in city driving) and I do a lot of city driving for work. I've also read to steer clear of the Sebring's hard convertible top... many problems... what about the cloth top? How would you compare comfort, reliability, mileage, handling of the PT vs. Sebring??? Personally, I prefer a smaller car feel and sportier handling, but my elderly parents cannot get in and out of the Miata (or any similar sportster) and being as old a car as it is, getting parts and paying for repairs has cost more than just getting a newer car and making payments. Would appreciate any suggestions/opinions. Thanks!

I work at a Chrysler dealership and all the cruisers and sebrings i have worked on was nothing major. We have three sebring convertables where i work and two of the three leak. They both leak in the same spot. In the corner where the top meets the windshield on the drivers side. In my opinion the sebrings have more head room with the top up, and i believe the cruiser does get poor city mileage. But overall i would own either car. Every car has it perks. Test drive both of them and see which one fits you better.
