First Kill Story

Hello Everyone i currently drive a 91 Honda Civic Si with a B18 swap, and just some basic bolt-on mods. I normally do not street race that often, but every now and then just to stay regular :iceslolan.
This race just went down on Sat. night, and after reading some of the other kill stories here, i have decided to share mine. I was just hangin out when a guy in a 240sx pulls up. We start talkin and he asked me if i would race him, not for money or anything just for fun, so i asked him to pop his hood. He did so willingly, and it looked alright, Automatic 240 with headers intake exhaust and underdrive pulley. (thats all he Told me he had) I agreed to race him after showing him the B18. We line up and go from a jump, i spin through first and most of the way through second. (Probaly driver error) And after finally gripping, i still got the jump. I was about 1 car ahead and pulling, when at about 80-85 he starts to pull on me. (thats his 75 shot of nitrous he hadnt told me about......:headshake) i had probaly pulled another car or 2 before the spray. He pulls up to his front bumper at my door, and stops pulling, after going a lil more than a 1/4 mile, we both shut down while im just ahead:loser:! It was a very close race and i was a little disappointed that it was that close since he was in a auto 240... Its all good though, we pulled over and he showed me his bottle, and gave me props. I really did enjoy beating him in front of his friends.

If he wasnt on the bottle you would have put a bad hurting on him. Nice kill.

I would feel pretty good if i were you man. He had to spray a 75 shot just to hang with you, like underestimateme said you would have killed him if not for the nitrous. I have a friend with an 88 or so hatch with a b18 swap with basically the same mods as you and it is a quick little thing. Good job dude

your bad on that one. Usually a dry or wet shot shows under the hood pretty evidently, although I must agree you did very well. Almost anything with a 75 shot should be in the 14s. Congrats

He passed by 1% and i passed by 5% and I am not even bad at english or grammer, but when the teacher hates you and everyone around you in the class it is very hard to get a good grade.

honestly, I think I have seen some Rodians meandering our mall. Its disturbing on so many levels. There is about as much to do here as there is on Tatooine. Just minus the womp rats.

the fad right now is good gas mileage. I can't wait till that crap is over. Any of you guys watch the latest episode of Top Gear when they ran the new M3 vs a prius full throttle around there track? They just ran the M3 fast enough to keep up with the prius and it got 19 mpg vs the prius at 17 lol.

I like the direction cars are going.

Companies are now focusing on turbochargers, diesel engines, aerodynamics, and a light curb weight, now more than ever.

Not to mention I fucking love kei cars and station wagons. Both of which will only gain more popularity in the states in the next few years. This is a fad I welcome with open arms.

what is your definition of money? I guess the fact I am 17 doesnt help my view on the value of a dollar. it would cost me about 4000 to get it there. Twin charged FTW :naughty:

If I wanted to keep the warranty stage 3 is good for 11's with some sticky ass tires. MSRP on a stage 3 from the stealership is 4200. You can find them for much less used, in the lower 3k range I believe. Thatd be a good way since its proven from the factory.

However, just trying to break into the numbers would take..downpipe, bov, injectors, 50 trim turbo, safc, wastegate, bigger fmic, tune. Roughly Id say you could get into 11's for 2500 if you were just focusing on speed.

However, I like my small turbo and I have more enjoyment tweaking with my suspension right now. I think my car is plenty fast enough for me personally. Like I said, I just need some better tires.

Fuck MPGs and being green. The sooner all those fucking Toyota hippies stop drinking Al Gore's nut, the better. My next car will run at least 12s right out the box, and will be in the 11s for maybe two grand, if that.

at this point i have the ability to set it up to run anything but 8's. Don't know if you remember stu's new setup but mine is dangerously close and should be finished up within the month. Might play it safe and stick to 10's, but the difference is going to be solely tuning and boost at this point. Just depends on how far i feel like pushing it.

Eights and nines would be good with that set up. Be pretty nifty set up if you are matching Stu's.

But an Auto C6 'Vette with I/H/E and a 100 shot is good for tens, looking like with who I'm talking to. A 150 shot would make it close, lol.

Well...I was at the Caddy dealership with my dad's new CTS (awesome car, makes me miss the BMW), and they had an 07 C6 sitting there on the used lot. 15k miles, leather, automatic, with a Borla exhaust. They only wanted 35 for it. My girlfriend had to tackle me to keep me from trying to get a salesmen.

Don't care if the price is right. Auto would be nice for a DD. I can rock the manny just as well though. All I know is I want at least 20 for my car.

Auto would be nice for DD... As much as I hate driving auto. i dont know why but manual has become such a natural thing to me that Auto just screws with my mind and I get all paranoid, wondering where the gnomes put my clutch pedal.

but if this auto was aggressive enough and attached to a vehicle with an engine with several hundred horsepower, I am happy.

Such is not the case with my Pilot, the only auto we own out of 4 vehicles... 3.5L V6 VTEC baby...

I have driven roughly five autos in my life, as sad as that is. 2004 Ford F150, 2004 Honda Pilot, 2002 Chevrolet Silvarado, Dodge Stealth (torched's) and.... thats all I can think of. :\

So no, I want to drive an auto that knows what its doing :)
