I just got an email telling me that if Obama is elected...

...the following 10 things will happen:
1). Strict new gun laws will be enacted even though he promised he would not.
2). The phrase "In God We Trust" will be removed from all currency.
3). He will back away from his pledge to Israel and leave them to the wolves of Islam.
4). Hillary Clinton will be named to the Supreme Court.
5). Tax rates will return to their highest levels in 30 years.
6). The capital gains tax will be at least double current levels.
7). Retired Army General Wesley Clark will be named Secretary of Defense.
8). The borders will be 'basically open' to all comers. Especially those from the Middle East and South America.
9). Amnesty will be granted to all illegals now in the U.S regardless of status or even gang members (MS-13).
and
10). The war in Iraq will be brought to an abrupt end and the results will be tragic and the consequences to our military will be devastating.
Do you think any of these predictions have any basis in reality, or are just as partisan fear-based as they appear to be? I'd also like to have someone explain to me how an abrupt end to the Iraq war will devastate our military.

Most of them don't even sound possible! Removing "In God We Trust" from all the currency? I would hope he will have better things to do and better things to spend money on. That sounds like a huge and unecessary undertaking! There is no way the borders will be open! People in this country have had it with illegal immigration! I just don't think Americans would allow that! He would be thrown out of office so fast! Ending the Iraq war abruptly is just not possible. We have destroyed infrastructures and left them unprotected. Ending the war right away would cause outrage with the US among the world! I just think most of these are a bunch of BS!

The president doesn't make laws, that's up to congress, and I doubt any of those things will happen, it's just ignorant bashing.
If you're concerned start with local politics, I bet you don't even know what state district you vote in or who your represnatives are.

It's all bullshit. I don't know the origins of this one, but from my experience most are started by the AFA. http://www.afa.net/ Those people are insane, and use religion to control millions of people.... hell, now that I think about it I guess they're no different than anyone else, that's what religion was created for.
Obama would just be more of the same. They're all the same. The two party system is bullshit, it's a scam, everyone has the same agenda. The purpose is to maintain control and keep people divided on trivial shit while the more sinister shit goes unnoticed. People are mindless fools that follow the group mentality, and are easily manipulated. Whether it be by race, gender, religion, sexuality, political affiliation or whatever, doesn't matter as long as the people aren't united they don't care.
And just to clarify what ericn1300 said " The president doesn't make laws"
The proper statement is "The president shouldn't make laws"
They can and have made plenty laws. The current president has made many that go unnoticed.

Most of that email seems to me as what Obama might WANT to do if he could, but that's doubtful. Congress has to allow the vast majority of those items, remember we have the 3-check system, legislative, judicial, executive.
Two things could happen, Hillary could be nominated for a Supreme Court position, and Clark could be nominated for Secretary. Key word, though is "nominated", it wouldn't be de-facto. Actually, all those email points would never be de-facto. They could occur, but I sure as hell hope Congress isn't that stupid .

If I were president I would get the phrase "wipe until streaking ceases" on all the toilet paper. But I don't really think I would be a strong candidate.

3). He will back away from his pledge to Israel and leave them to the wolves of Islam.
A U.S. president would stop giving 300bn a year so that the state of Israel can drop cluster bombs on civilians, push out arabs and muslims from their homes and create a complex system of Aparthed much like the one the same state helped create in S. Africa? And this would be bad, why? Because of the "wolves of Islam"?
Obama is a scumbag for sure, but this racist filth is inexcusable. Too long have the xenophobes supporting the Israeli gov't trampled on the rights of the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.
