How do i boost my 94 cavy without breaking the bank

i have had my cavy for about two years now. i only paid 150 for it. i am currently giving it a new paint job. When i blew the head gasket last year i found out that someone had taken the time to port and polish the intake. since then i have wanted to boost the power of it. I bought this one thing called a turbonator it has helped the power but i want more. i also got a cheap universal cold air intake from some company in asia. i was wondering where to find a turbo for it. i have looked damn near everywear and nobody has turbos for 94 and older. can anyone help me find a turbo or something that will boost the hp of my little cavy. it is my pride and joy and the biggest sleeper in my home town. i can honestly say that i have only lost one race in that car and the guy that beat me had a suped up mazda and he blew the damn thing up trying to beat me. i just need something to get me off the line quicker. i am looking to take this car to a dragstrip at the end of this month and i need more power so i dont make an ass of myself. thank you for your help.

Its impossible to boost your car without spending a lot of money. And there is a ton more involved in actually turbocharging your car then just dropping in a turbo. And I believe that "Turbonator" is doing absolutely nothing for you. First step in getting some more power would be a full exhaust in addition to your intake or well buying a new car.

I agree. If you are running a "turbonator" you may want to do some research before trying a to do a turbo build.

About the only thing you could do is a v6 swap.Fine a (60degreev6) 3.1,3400,and rebiuld the motor with better internals.Cams, msd ignision,cold air intake, full exhaust, and computer upgrade.That will be alot easyer.

How can you call your car a sleeper? It's probably slow as hell still.

Sorry, you will make an ass of yourself at the dragstrip unless you spend a truckload of cash on a new motor/drivetrain/car. Or you could just put a 100 shot of nitrous on it and see what happens?

What the fuck is a "turbonator" anyways? a cold air intake, or one of them useless radioshack resistors? Yeh your car is probably slow. A 4 cylinder in a 94? it's not an ecotec. its not a V6 like mine. is it even a 5 speed? My 3.1 would be superman in whatever town you race in.

the turbonator is a fuel saver therefore i get better gas mileage than you do!!!!!!
if you dont know the 2.2 is a I4 remember that breathing thing you do, you probably should just stop. I found a way that ur little PUSSY 3.1 would never touch my car its called a chevy small block V8!!!
