i sold my R34 a month back to a friend so that i could have enough money to buy the Spec II well i got the Spec I back today for rebuilding the car is salvageable but the way it looked when i first saw it crushed my spirit. i got to keep the car after i told her the car was done for with a trade for a diecast supra(trust me better a Skyline than a diecast Supra).

the Damage:

Missing right front wheel
Drivers side headlight and cover
passenger headlight cover
mirrors
Discombobulation of chassie body and interior most glued back before posting this

Future:

CF hood
newer wheels
parts replaced and upgraded Via Tamiya
SAS R34 kit when it comes out
Meaner and Better than before

so let me get this straight. You sold a completed car to somebody, and the same car came back to you in pieces? Major burn.

Oh, slaps forehead.

Now I get it.

Man that sucks, If I ever sell one of my models I will never check on it again.

Because some people who don't really care for cars such as us or diecast collectors like my dads friend are not as careful or caring about their model or diecast.

I'm not reffering ot your friend but, what a shame. He should have treated it really well.

But hey, mistakes can happen, like when I dropped my hemi cuda.

I know your skills and I have faith that you can rebuild it; you can make it stronger, faster than ever before! :p I used to watch a show called "The Six Million Dollar man" and that was part of the opening.:) Gee I'm old! :(

i sold a Spec I to buy a Spec II. for 35$

It wasnt her fault she was gone for the month in mexico and when she came home her bookshelf had fallen over the TV the Spec I was in the third row where from what i can guess bounced off the TV and into the floor.

i didnt consider it a Burn, it wasnt her fault she does have little siblings which i believe they were the perpetrators plus i got 20 bucks to rebuild the car and keep it

i gave her my Jada Diecast Supra shes happy with it

Major heartbreak!

I agree, once it's sold, I wouldn't want to see it again, as it may destroy the fond memories:cry:

Never mind a cat or gravity, you want to see what a jilted wife can do to a model collection, I had a showcase with around fifty car and aircraft kits in. When I was eventually allowed back in the house I found my 5year son old playing with what was left of three of the cars and two aircraft. This felt like crap, the only upside if you can call it that was that I got the excuse to steadily replace the majority of them. So the moral here is if you ever end up leaving home for a personal reason leave the clothes behind and pack a case with your kits in, clothes can easily be replaced:D
