Are the frames interchangeable, I have access to a '70 Tempest and would like to use the frame for my '69 GTO.

More info. from my previous question...My '69 was injured in a tragic incident with a mad tree thrower, who puts them in the middle of the road anyway. The driverside rear was hit behind the rear wheel...the body trashed (rear quarters back) and frame bent...should I attempt to straigten the frame or go with a new/used one? My baby has been sitting for a dozen years and it's time I fix her. Thanks for any help.

The fame dimensions are the same. Whether or not they're truly "interchangeable", I can't say. They may have accessory holes in different places. Bumper mount flanges may or may not be the same.
If it isn't rusty, the frame can be straightened by a competent frame shop. NOT for the "do it yourself" guy. Once straightened, it must be checked carefully for cracks.

Thanks...there is a very reputable shop in town that will do the straightening for about 1200, I was worried about the integrity of the frame afterward though, as far as rust goes even though it's been sitting for over a dozen years the vehical only has 48000 miles on it so other than the damage to the rear end (and now the interior) its fairly rust free.
