brand new to the forum. got referred here by a buddy.

I have a 2005 Ford Ranger, lifted 4" with 33" tires, bunch of lights, and a snorkel.

I got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube 400 miles ago.

Last night, my truck died going 45. oil light, battery light, check engine lights all came on...

checked it this morning and there was oil pouring out of my power steering fluid container...... it was a mix of both oil and ps fluid. the container was filled to the brim with this mixture.

so, if anyone has any ideas at all, they would be greatly appreciated...
thanks.

-edit- sorry, forgot to mention this, it's a 4.0L V6

the first place i would look would be the the belt that runs the p/s unit, maybe a bearing locked up on a idler pully, alternater, p/s pump. water pump.this wouldn't explain the oil but it sounds like the serpatine belt might not be turning

I bet those experts at the JiffyLube topped off your power steering with engine oil by mistake and fried the pump and threw the belt.

Just makes sense.

well I got the verdict from Ford today.

Need a new Fuel Pump, a new High Pressure PS line, and a new Fuel Rail.

$1,200.
