I Just Bought a 95 Maxima (I've been a fan of nissan since I was a little boy growing up in a city full of cars, but now i have my own little (or big) nissan)...anyways, its a GLE auto, and i was wondering if it affects the performance with all the fancy things in there...also can someone please tell me the specs on this fine machine (like HP, torque, 0-60mph,Top Speed) and also someone told me there was no rev limiter that can cut off my top speed on GLEs..is that true or is it as foony as the civic type-r:bloated: I just spanked on the highway? (i hate those)
Yeah, anyway Keep On Lovin Nissans, and word up to all the maxima owners (Yall keep Pimpin' :sun: )
I'm Out...

Ahhhh well...
Im gonna get a Y-Pipe and intake in about a month and a half, (should i get the ecu replaced?) and i think im gonna get those altezza and do the r32 mod...im looking at a skyline bodykit right now, those are sweet!!!!
Yeah thats about it..
If i get the skyline bodykit, it will be a real pimp machine:sun:

I've read some good things about ECU upgrades. It changes the air/fuel mix along the power curve which brings some extra horsies all the way around. I'd say if you have a few bills to blow, go for it. But I dont think it'd be necessary for just a y-pipe and an intake, I could be wrong.
The only time I hear that they're really necessary is when you get to the supercharger/turbo/nos to slow the timing, as it's the only way to change it thanks to the max's timing chain.
Unfortunatly for me, I made a deal with the girl that I wouldnt mod mine out until it's my secondary car. Heh, damnit.
anyway, good luck with that.

the only way to know what your top speed is, is to take it out and run it to the top speed. I say this because I have a GXE and it is not supposed to go to 140mph but it does, I was racing a Civic on an open highway and all of the other three people that was in the car when I passed the Civic said that I was going 140mph.

I have a 95 max gle unfortunetly is a automatic and the fastest i got it on my my last trip from NY to MD was 130 with four people in the car and trunk full of stuff. I beleive had it been a 5sp top speed would've been higher than that. :evillol:
