Hello everyone, im knew to the forums so im sure youll get to know me. Im 17 and have had my license since February 19th and car since February 23. I was on the Garden State Parkway South when i was at a 70 cent toll. I only had a bunch of pennies and threw them into the basket but most of them missed only a few made it in. I didnt mean to run the toll if i had the right change id pay it at the moment. It wasnt an EZ pass toll just a common unmanned toll. It is my first offense i havent had any other issues with the law or anything. Whats the worse can happen? any help is VERY appreciated.

Usually if I'm out of change I'll call the toll authority and offer to pay -- or, if it's available, I will go to the full service lane and they usually have envelopes so you can send in the toll later.
The important question is.....did you get a citation for violating the toll?
If so, see if you can straighten it out with the toll authority now, before you have to go to court. If not, you'll have to go to court and explain to the judge, [unless you can plead guilty and send in the fine]
Bottom line from the law's point of view is that you ran the toll....
