Just wanted to introduce myself here, My name's Lugz. I'm in Southern Oklahoma. I have a 94 1500 Chevy Suburban. I traded a 92 S-10 for it. It was in REAL bad shape when I got it, but the S-10 was pretty used up. The guy I traded with drove 70 miles a day and was being driven to the poor house buying gass for it. He pretty much let his kids wreck it. The interior is shot. Food and pop and milk and crayon and God knows what else was ground in the carpet/seats/headliner. The smell alone was enough to make my wife look at me like I had just bought a bag of magic beans!! This a a truck that I'm now in the process of restoring back to it's former glory with a few upgrades here and there. I may/will be asking for some advice from time to time, and offer any knowledge I learn. When this is all said and done, I should know just about everything there is to know about a 94 burb! Thanks for taking the time to read this and look forward to talking with a few of you out there!

Good luck with the project. How many miles are on the old suburban? Still running strong? LegacyMan.

Welcome to AF! Wow I know exactly what you mean about the pop and food and who knows what. When I bought my 96' it had been used to transport a family of 8, and was sitting in some guy's backyard for a year being unused. There were many missing/broken interior parts. A junkyard is a great place to look for these. I think I spent a couple weeks getting it back to normal. These are great vehicles. Just maintain them properly, and they will run for a while. My grandfather put 250,000+ on his 94. Sold it with the original engine and tranny. (No joke!) Anyway good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the welcome. The landshark has 223,500 well riden miles on her. The motor and tranny were replaced about 20,000 miles ago, so I should have a few miles left in her. I got the new carpet in her this weekend. I've gotten the driver's side front all bolted back together. It is amazing how much difference new carpet makes. It totaly changed the appearance of the truck. I'm just afraid of cutting a hole in the wrong spot. I'm just taking my time, trying to do it right.
