Suspension Track width change

Hi people,
Could you explain me deeply this .
What happen if I increase the one end car´s track width adding spacers between the wheel an the hub. Will I improve or detrim the lateral capacity of that axle?.
If I increase the track I'll reduce the lateral load transfer and that axle but, on the other hand I'll increase more the roll stiffness (K spring*Track^2/2) thus increasing the lateral load transfer in the axle..?¿
So coming back. Will I improve or detrim the lateral capacity of that axle.?¿¿

heres a formula that may or may not help you with your situation.

lateral weight transfer= W x g's x H
Gravity x T

where W=overall weight of the car (with full gas tank and driver)
g's=cornering force
T= track width
H=height of the center of gravity
Gravity=1.0

this formual was from the book "Chassis Engineering" chassis design, building and tuning for high performance handling by Herb Adams

i would suggest computing the formula with your original track width, then with your proposed one and comparing the numbers. Usually when you increase the track width, the loading will be reduced on each axle, so that would be a plus for the axles, but keep in mind some racing has regulations that limit the track width of vehicles. hope this helped!:smokin:
