Hey all,
Boy I feel like a dumba$$.... I lost my 4X4 a few months back, so I asked around and was told it was the actuator... Well it was not!!! LOL After I put that on I had the same problem... Well after driving it in 2 wheel I started to hear a little clunk on the right front somewhere.... Did a little feeling around and I could move my CV joint ALOT!!! Now I know my problem, the inner axle was riding in the boot so everything appeared to look good but it was spinning in the boot causing my 4x4 not to work..... LOL
The part should be comming in the mail anyday... Does anybody know where I can find a "how to" on replacing this? Just did the front u-joints on my Grand Cherokee a week ago, now time for the Suburban.... Surprised GM didn't use a u-joint setup on the heavy suburbans....
Thanks all!!!!

Are you getting the complet axle shaft?
Or just the joint?

Yes you can get or replace just the joint but it is usually best to go with the complete shaft price wise and labor wise.
When replacing the complete shaft you may need to unbolt/cut off the sway bar link kit bolt bolt to get the complete shaft in and out.
The big long bolt with the rubber bushing on it.
Other than that is is unbolt and bolt it back up.
Torque the outer axle big nut to specs when done.
