2004 express 4l60-e Trany problem

Out of the blue my engine just starting revving out, I checked the trany fluid was fine. Turned off engine checked underneath for leaks- no leaks. Turned engine back on and put into gear and drove off for about a mile and did same thing- shut it off waited a minute and went on again did this 5 times to make it home. From a cold start it grabs and goes then spinnns out. Some one told me to check the soleniods, but as I checked I find there is more than one type am I looking for the 1-2 and the 3-4 can someone help me find the right parts so I can try them out. A nieghbor put his scanner on it but no codes came up.

Is the fluid full hot idle in park?
You need to get it on a good transmission/engiine capable scanner to check it or get codes.
Before throwing parts at it.
Post back code no.

Does it hold good in reverse?
Can you manual shift from low to second to third gear?
Any check engine lights?
How many miles on it?
What size van and engine and transmission?
Some have a 4L80E transmission.

Thanks for responding, Fluid is full, when the problem first started I went and had it changed but they wouldn't do the filter afterwards still showed same symtoms. Goes into reverse and can shift through gears fine when I first start it and after it sets with engine off for a few minutes once the revving out begins. No check engine lights, its a 1500 Express with a 6 cyl., my nieghbors scanner didn't show any codes but not sure if we did it right, I'll locate exact trany type and try another scanner to check codes.
Seems like after it warms up it looses torgue, let it sit a few minutes and I can go again. Could a clogged filter affect the pressure inside, when the fluid was changed they said it was dirty, and I realize filters get clogged with debris from worn parts hoping maybe it is just old gunked up fluid in the filter or something clogging a solenoid.

Sounds like you been had by one of the jeffie lube flush deals.

No way you can service a transmission without changing the filter and checking to see what all is in the bottom of the transmission pan.

Plus the fact that most of them use a fit all fluid and dope it up.

You only hope of saving it is to find a good repair shop and get the filter changed and the fit all fluid flushed out and the right fluid in it.

Also find a repair shop that has a transmission capable sccanner to test out transmission and get codes.
If any codes post back code no.
