I would look for a pick-n-pull junkyard in your area. There is one that I have spent many happy hours in, down in Rosemount, south of St. Paul. about 200 miles south of your location. Do a Yahoo.com Yellow Pages search for ' U pull R Parts ' 651-322-1800. You have to take your own tools and helper, they wont remove parts for you. They have mobil hoist A frames you can use, but I would bring my own chain hoist. Very nice prices.
If 200 miles seems to far to go, bear in mind that when I would go to Rosemount, I was living in Virginia. The close-est pick-n-pull to where we live now, is 240 miles north, in San Antonio TX.
Another thing to try would be putting a 'wanted ad' on www.craigslist.org (http://www.craigslist.org), for whatever metro area is nearest to you - you might score a low cost parts car.
And for good-but-cheap stereo components, other than stolen ones, try: www.crutchfield.com
