1995 Corolla stalls in drive or reverse

Car starts fine, just installed new battery. But when shift to drive or reverse
the car stalled. Any ideas or comments will help. Thank you.

when is the last time the pvc valve was changed? if its been a while change it and see if it still stalls .

is the idle speed low at idle?also do you have 1.6 or 1.8?

lowers when it gets warm. the engine is 1.8L.

could be the egr valve or the egr vacumn modulator valve.Finally we fixed the problem by changing the idle speed control
located by the engine side firewall about the center area. This is connected
by one connector with two wires and two air hoses.
