I just purchased a 2003 silverado LS with the composite bed. Does anyone know if I install a over the rail toobox if there is anything inside the rails to secure the box to if I drilled holes into the top of the rail and tried to put screws into it? Has anyone else with the composite bed secured a toolbox using any other means? What about a bed cover? Are there any brands out there that make either a hard or soft cover that would work with my bed. I went through all 199 pages of this forum and found very little about the composite bed and want to learn more before I do something I may regret.

Thanks alot

BKVic,

I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado with the Pro-Tec composite box. Yes they do make a bed cover (both hard and soft) for that box. I had a soft tanue cover installed when I bought the truck at a cost of about $250. It works and looks great. It does bolt in differently then the steel box covers do. If you have any questions drop me an email.

Thanks for the reply, I purchased a Truxedo Low Pro a few months ago and have been very happy with it.
