That's terrible. If people must street race, go to somewhere where there is absolutely NO pedestrians and traffic is nowhere in sight. He deserves nothing than AT LEAST getting locked up for life.

Here's a better idea: DON'T RACE ON THE PUBLIC STREETS. PERIOD.

That is why we have dragstrips or other legal racetracks.

And throw him in prison.
"fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me."
Murder in the second degree.

Agreed.
I would give him 20 years. But that's just me. Ignorance is one thing. Sometimes people do stupid things and bad things happen because of them, hence the first incident. While I would have rather seen him charged for it, if he had no prior records or tickets, then maybe it was the judge taking into consideration the fact that he killed a man as enough emotional punishment to deal with.
However, when someone does the exact same thing repeatedly and ends up killing another person - this time a CHILD - then that person obviously does not value his or anyone elses life enough to deserve the freedom that comes with it. Ignorance of such a degree should not be tolerated ANYWHERE.
If he is not charged/arrested/tried for this, I will have no faith left in our judicial system. He deserves more than 20 years for killing two people - I think they should put him under house arrest for the rest of his life, give him a lojack on his ankle and allow him only to go to work by utilizing specially arranged public transportation.
When I speak of people I hate with a burning passion, people such as this man are the ones to which I refer. I honestly hope he dies.
