Parking Brake Light 91 Suburban

I wanted to know if there's a way to reset whatever system that keeps the parking brake light on. It's not the parking brake switch itself because the light gets really bright when the parking brake is on, and then dim when it's released.
The light started staying on after I did some repair work to the trailer wiring harness. The brakes still work fine and I don't notice any difference, other than this annoying light under my speedo.
If anyone knows how to reset this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

Thanks. i would go back and check the repair real close as it seems to me thats where the problem started. the sub has abs brakes in the rear wheels and if by chance the brake bulbs were replaced there is a chance that you my have the incorrect bulb in the tail light causing a problem. just some thoughts. 463

You may have grounded out a sensor during the repair. The easiest way to reset the light is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. The light should go away if there is nothing else wrong. If the light returns you better backtrack your work.
