Hi
Ok I have a new project on the way.. here it is :

I need some information about 2 thing
First, I need to lower the suspension.... anyone know the easyest way to do this ?
Second, you see the hole on the hood (no the intake.. it's easyer to see on the next picture.. between Subaru logo and the red GB logo) What is the easyest way to fill this ? I dont want this big hole on the hood

1. If you wanted the car lowered, why didn't you buy the tarmac version of the car like the one in the second photo?
2. I would recommend using sheet styrene to fill that hole. You could glue it in place with some additional support behind and then sand it all level.

1) Use the strut parts for tarmac. I think the GB version has them. If not, shorten the strut parts.
2) Fill the hole with a sheet of plastic, sand the ridge on the hood, fill the gap with putty or super glue, and smooth it with sand paper from 400 grit to 2000 grit.

Becose this kit was in special :D
I got GB U.K. kit for 12$.. here why I buy 2 kit...

I understand that, but if you want to build both as a rally car, what are you going to do for decals now? You will have 2 GB cars with different ride heights
And wheels for the tarmac version?
I am not certain, but I think Hiro may be right, the GB kit may also have the tarmac struts in it.

If you can wait a couple of hours, I have both kits at home(posting from work:devil: ), I will compare them and see what the difference is.
Lowering should not be too hard regardless.
I like your idea on the street version too:)

The gravel set up has more coils to it, but you could probably cut it where you said.
To be honest, you seem so have a good idea of what to do, I would suggest you examine the assembly when you get the kit and it will be easier for you to decide what to do with the other parts that will need modification.

may you do me a favor and give me the length of both ? I would know how many plastic i need to remoove before getting in trouble :D

I would suggest modifying the top of the strut above the dotted line in pic. Don't chop the top off, file or cut away the coils above that line to the diameter of the locator pin. So, you now have a long length of plastic at the end. Then cut that to form your new locator pin. Doing it this way will make it less noticeable as the top of the strut cant be seen under the arch. If you do it as in your suggestion, you will only weeken the strut and i can almost guarantee the bond will break when u fit the wheels to the hub.
With the other part u mention (L18), all u need to do is add spacers. Plastic tubing is ideal for this, i did the same thing on my S2k http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t67821.html
