FYI
To whom it may concern:
On january 15 2003 i aquired a brand new A4 confort version with the multitronic gear box for nearly 40,000 USD (39,700), today after only 15 days and less than 2000 miles the car is in the shop and i am told that a new transmission must be instaled because the one on the car does not work. I find this not only exasperating but completely unacceptable, when i asked the mexican distributor for a car replacement he told me that that simply was not going to happen. I must tell you that this little ordeal has generated over 2000 USD in expenses to me, the car broke down 500 miles away from my hometown and i had to fly back to be at my office early monday morning. I must tell you that AUDI is the biggest piece of metal scrap that i had bought in my life. Where is the so call service, where is all you warranties and lies that you tell people in order to get them to spend 40,000 USD on a complete piece of junk. I have come to realize tha AUDI is just a company that once it has your money you are just an annoince to them, as a costumer you are worth less than a used screw tossed in the garbage. I must say that your company is nothing but a pack o thieving liers and money hungry conmans. I find it terribly dissapointing that after 40,000 USD all i have is a car with a major reparation done to it with no resale value and a car that i cannot trust since it already stranded me on my first jurney. I find it sad that your company takes advantage of the law to sell me a piece of junk and then just say...."will fix it...it is not our obligation to change the whole gearbox but will do it because we are nice"...to this i say.....lies all lies. You can rest assured that i will distribute this inofrmation in whatever internet site i find and that i will tell all who will hear me that buying an UADI is a big mistake, that from personal experience the car breaks down before 2000 miles and that there is no support from the company behind it. I am not asking for something unreasonable, all I want is a 40,000 USD car that actually works. I did not pay such an amount of money for a car with less that 2000 miles and a major report on its log. I payed 40,000 USD for a car that actually works.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. If there are any warranties of any kind that could help you, you should try and take them to a people's court or something. You're right about the shitty resale value though. That's why I am inclined to buy a used A4 rather than a new one.
