My son just bought a 99 Cavalier Z24. He cannot find the trunk button however. Can anyone tell me where it is located? Thanks.

ive never heard of a cavalier with a trunk button, what i have, and what ive seen in other cavaliers, is a lever on the left side of the driver seat,
what makes you think it has a button??

well unforunately for some reason there is not likely one to be found in the car .My `00 doesn`t have one and others have said the same. Now a button can be wired into car ,if he wishes to take the time to do it. Do a thread search and you should be able to come up with instructions. I did mine.

on the 03+ its a BUTTON under the dash, under the steering wheel and to the left a little. kinda in a weird spot in the middle of nowhere, but i would expect nothing less from chevy....

The button on my 1997 is located inside the trunk lock tumbler. I have a special metal tool that I stick in and turn to push the button in. Maybe mine is special?
