Has anyone done this swap or any A body? I think my big problem areas will be fuel tank, radiator and harness. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

There's a thread right directly below this one asking a similar question.

Is your original engine gone in the '64 with no hope of ever finding it? If not, rebuild it or find it and put it back in. The value of your 64 will drop in half if you put a non-period correct engine in it - for example a fair/nice '64 with matching drivetrain worth $12,000 versus a fair/nice '64 with a mystery 14 year-old engine in it worth $6,000 total or so.
Just my opinion. Good luck.

The original left the car in 76 and is gone, it now has a 350/350 which runs good, the lt1 with trans fell in my lap from a very low mileage roadmaster flower car (funeral home) I figured it would be nice to have more power, 4 speeds and less emissons. I also like to wrench, been at it 40 years. I do appreciate your suggestion but it is already to late. I do have a 67 that I kept the originals.

I assume you got the electronics and everything. It's an interesting project, and if you look around, others have put LT1s in 60s GM cars.

Now I have a 64 with a 283 and a 95 RM with the LT!, so I feel conflicted condoning the swap, but go for it.
