1996 Sub Exhaust

Hello all, my stock exhaust system is falling apart, so I'm looking for a nice stock type exhaust that sounds good. I only need the part behind the cat's, so the muffler and tailpipe is what I'm looking for. I don't want anything loud and obnoxious I just would like a nice deep, throaty sound. I would like to have it exit like stock, behind the rear wheel well. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Have you checked with your local exhust/muffler shops.
Most have stuff like that.
Just tell them what you want and they should be able to help you.
Or if you hear one that sound like one you want catch the owner and ask them where they got it.

I have a Gibson Cat-back system that exits behind the right rear wheel. It bolts right up and sounds mellow. No complaints from the family. Just be sure that everything is clear of any cross members frame rails prior to tightening the u-clamps. Did it in about an hour, well worth the effort. Something else to think about is replacing the manifold-to-downpipe doughnut seals. If in the morning it sounds like an exhaust leak until warmed up.

Hey thanks guys. Right now I have found two systems that are in my price range right now. One is made by Walker, it's from their Dyno-Max line. The other is from Gibson. I have heard good things about Gibson from a few of my friends and co-workers. I havent heard alot about the one from Walker. Can anyone shed some light on the situation? They are both about the same price, and they both just bolt up. I think my donut gaskets are ok for now, but it's something I should do this summer. The only problem I have is my passenger side pipe seems to be welded right where the joint is.:banghead: This also has melted the top of the bolts, making it just about impossible to unbolt them. I dunno, the previous owner must have been preventing exhaust leaks? He did alot of things I don't understand.:shakehead
