Frigging Snow

So I wake up to 6" of snow, not so bad but the parking lot ain't plowed....so I dig my car out....gotta go to work, dickhead I work for doesn't think snow is an excuse not to be at work.....
Get onto the main road....not plowed either.....oh well, maybe RT322 will be plowed, get onto 322, it ain't plowed either.....GREAT!!!
Now the asses in their F-150's and Chevy Silverados think they are invinceable, flying by me....no problem.....I keep going.....stuck on 322....no way to get off....
Over the mountain, no problem...not plowed, but I use the gears and make it off.....3 miles left to work of a 34 mile trip....shit hits the fan.....
assholes in their beemers thinks they have it figured with their RWD, I avoid the spinning beemer and get to dig myself out a drift....no problem...now to get up the hill....dodging cars in drifts and fighting off the frigging trucks.....
only a 1-1/2 hour trip to work.....and then they ask why I came in today!!!
Because last time I called for snow the ass told me if he could get here I better be......dammit....
Scuse the vent but this place I work at pisses me off....

Be glad you don't work in or around Pittsburgh!!! I 376 into the city was a NIGHTMARE. Thank God I didn't drive it, or anywhere near it, but the lovely 4.5 to 5" we got of snow left most drivers with over 2 hours of a commute!!!

As for me... well, I walked out to my car, in a nice 6-7" snow drift, opened the door, and literally jumped into the back seat so I could get my motorcycle boots on. Brilliant me left them in the car when the forecast only read 1-3"...

Then I walked down the sidewalk, which was cleared only 10 minutes before my 12:15pm lab.

It's great living under a coastal mountain.I'm only 20 minutes from a [small] skifield, but it NEVER snows in town.:)

yeah i know about those crappy road conditions, my g/f's dad skidded off the road (no damage 2 car or himself) because the road was 2 icy, and another thing happened to me and my friend bobby when we were driving out of the senior parking lot in his contour, and when he turned the wheel and started 2 accelerate, the slushy shit on the street gave him no traction and we were fishtailing all the way to work that day.....

I feel your pain, when I lived in Kansas I used to commute 30 miles to work and back, we did'nt have the snow so much but lots of Ice. I had the shittiest car for the job to a 92 firebird formula with posi, that thing could get stuck and spin you around in circles on my completely level driveway if there was ice on it, once you were moving it was ok but god forbid you had to stop. My boss was very much the same if he could make it then there was no reason the rest of us couldnt, even though he only lived a few miles from work.
