Australian Political correctness goes overboard!

Ok, the politically correct crowd just went overboard. I read on Yahoo this morning that Australian mall Santas are being encouraged to say HA HA HA instead of HO HO HO because that could be offensive to women! WHAT!!! :screwy: What am I supposed to call my hand held garden cultivator now? What if your skanky neighbor is weeding her garden in a Santa hat, will the world stop spinning????? :eek7:

i didn't hear that one. doesn't surprise me one bit.
last year we had race riots on a beach. an enthic group of people beat up a surf life saver and started a big "Aussie versus Wogs" war that still hasn't subsided. after that it was put forward by "the Political Correctness Council" that the Australian flag had become gang colours displayed by Aussie delinquents in a way of antogonising the ethnic culture of Australia. It was then decided that the Returned Services League clubs (our war heroes pubs/clubs and a place for yougsters to get drunk real cheaply) should remove our nations flags from their flag poles.

imagine not being able to display the american flag on independance day in case you upset a migrant!!!!

It's getting rediculous that we are so worried about hurting someones feelings that we infringe on the right to display our nation's flag!
I'm not Jewish, but I wouldn't be offended if a Jewish person wished me a happy Hannukah (sp?). How can someone be offended by being wished a good day(s)?? This world is turning into a bunch of mamby pamby wusses. :crying: I think our legislators need a good swat on the bottom. Oh wait, I can't do that either, I guess we'll give have to give them a time out, :eek7:

actually you can't do that either. what you'll need to do is apologise for not seeing their point of view and allow them total free reign over everything.

You're preaching to the choir on that one Alfonso, I agree with you 100%. I love calling the PC crowd on that kinda stuff and tell them I'm offended that they want to take "In God We Trust" off American currency because a couple of athiests don't like it. I'd love to choke the life out of them so they can figure out they had it all wrong on their jugement day. Our American government is becoming more and more socialist all the itme. They want to control what we do, say, have and express, yet can't even balance a budget or fix their own messes, :screwy: .
