Cat removal. 02 Sensor Question.

I recently installed a full exhaust system from the cat back, and new headers. I currently just have a straight pipe inplace for the space that the cat was taking up. I was wondering if anyone would have any idea how to possibly bypass the second o2 sensor or will I have to fabricate an opening in the pipe for it?

if you fabricate an opening for it, and install it, i would have to assume it would give you a permanent check engine light, since it'd be getting some FUCKED up readings without the catylic converter, you could just disconnect it and leave the connector just hanging there, that'd also cause a CEL, another option is to get an "o2 simulator" made specifically for your car, or you can also spend $600 on a program called Hptuners, which allows you to control pretty much everything computer related on your car through your home computer, one of those things you can control is weather the computer montiors the o2 sensors, you would obviously just "turn them off"

Hptuners will take care of it for you

IMO buying that HPTuners software for a few hundred $$ is not worth it...get an O2 simulator and you'll be good to go

if you're buying it for the sole purpose of turning off the o2 sensors, then yeah, you're not very smart
