Messed up my doors?...

well i bought a 90 civic si hatchback.. and the dude had hid the door knobs for no one can steal it or whatever.. well it came with a control wich where the doors popped opened... but i had sprayed some wd-40 in the inside doorhandle.. and well now it wont work.. i have no clue but its gay cuz i have to climb through the back to open my doors.. any suggestions of what i could have done?.. or how can i fix..

check the battery in the remote first... make sure its sending signal. second, check for pinched, crimped, broken wires.. etc..

yeah its sending signal it blinks.. but the doors wont open.. they opened before i sprayed dw-40..but i dont understand how can dw-40 can damage a wire?... if it has a coat over it...

This is a pretty sad situation...

Does it click when you press your remote? If it does and doors still stay locked try to spray some contact cleaner into the same spot where you put WD-40. If WD-40 shorted something the contact cleaner may clean it up. Do it on the passenger side only to minimize the more damage to the locks.

If it does free the locks and you get it working, do not forget that locks still need some lubricant. Use graphite in the future.
