87 celica auto to transmission

I have an 87 toyota celica and my tranny jut went out in it. Its an automatic but i want to change it to a manual. I really dont know how to change it over. if anyone has any knowledge on this swap it would really help..

it will be cheaper to replace the tranny with a regular auto tranny, and put a shift kit. it will kind of be the same but u will feel a faster get up in ur torque.

well the price doesnt really bother me much... ive already found everything i need and have the money for it.. im just kinda wondering how hard it is and kinda figure out what i need to do
