um, well, yes and no...it is jimi, but is taken straight from the song "if 6 was 9", with a couple words changed around here and there

yeah, it is, my car feels really powerful pretty much anywhere in the 1st 4 gears, even in 5th, i can easily just hit the accelerator and be past a car quickly...there is no replacement for displacement, all that power down low is awesome!

I almost got a buyback via nature the other night - some baseball sized hail just missed us !! All we got was marbles tho - and my car was fine.

As much as I love my max - I would have gladly totaled it with hail damageand ran out and got the G35 coupe ( - vs the Z - I need the jumpseats for the kids).

well, as far as the falsely advertised 255 hp, failing MAF sensors, horrible paint, and bose stereo problems i would say that it is a possibility...although at the same time they would prolly just offer an extended warranty.

yeah, the only problem is Evo's are heavier cause of the AWD. i bet you anything a new Max will outrun an Evo on the highway, no problem. i saw a vid on the Org of a lightly modded RSX-S pissing on an Evo over and over and over on the highway

the evoVIII is probably the best mitsubishi since the vr4. i'm not a big mitsubishi fan but they give their customers what they want.

besides, an SRT-4 is still a frickin NEON...sure, you might get AWD, so the ability to launch and handle a little better, but besides that, you're looking at a HUGE step down in everything else: quality, looks, reliability, fit and finish, amenities. that's stepping down two full car classes, just for a little exrta performance. but hey, it's your money, if it suits you, go right ahead.

The SRT-4 doesnt have awd. To you it may be a huge step down, to me
it isnt. It may not have the quality of a Maxima, but it looks better than
my 02 does, its alot faster, and handles better. The Maxima is a
better car, no doubt about it. Im still young, and I was looking forward
to getting a new Maxima, but its to big and there are some things I
dont like about it. For one its getting to big, the 04 is slower than the 02
and 03. I like fast cars, thats why I got into the Maxima in 95 cause of
the performance and price. Yeah, Im buying this car because of the
price and performance, and its my money so Ill buy what I want.

actually, since it doesn't have AWD, i bet it won't be any faster than a Max. and i guarantee a max will pull on it on the highway. check reviews, 0-60 is qouted at around 6 seconds, same as a Max. i'm not saying all of this stuff to be a dick, i just think you want want to take a second look elsewhere, maybe WRX. just so that you know that the interior will be very unpleasing

here yet in Indiana. The dealer told me next month some time.

but for a cheap car I dont think they are to bad.
About the speed, a Neon SRT-4 will do 0 to 60 in 5.6 and 1/4
in 14.1@102 mph. Top speed is 153. The Maxima's best Ive seen
was 6.0 to 60 and 1/4 14.7 @97. I was basically talking about my
automatic in comparing these two cars. There is no doubt that a 02 or
03 6 speed Maxima would pull on the SRT-4, Im just going by
everything Ive researched about the SRT-4, and its hard to beat in
terms of speed for the price. Im going to check out a 03 black 6speed
Maxima at the dealer has tomorrow so Ill just wait and see how things
turn out. The Dodge dealer told me today that there may be a markup
on SRT-4's when they get them, so Im a little dissapointed right now,
cause Im not going to pay any more money than sticker for a new car.
The Nissan dealer told me the Maxima was used, 5000 miles and I could
possibly get it for around 21 to 22,000. I dont know what to do now....

well, since it will be a limited production model, there will definitely be sunstantial markups, the things will be hard to get ahold of. i really would say go with the max, the 6 speed feels much more powerful than the auto for some reason...drive one, you'll see what i mean. oh, and throw some new tranny fluid in her, you'll be good to go, smooth shifting and all

Well I mean....if you like it, go buy it, for 20k I rather buy something else, like a used car and do a motor swap, but thats just me because I already have a new car. I'd do something like a Nissan NX2000 and drop in a SR20det with 250hp and build it.

Oh well.....I am sure the SRT-4 will be one hell of a ride stock.

It actually grew on me somewhat. I see them at the Nissan dealer and to me its just not that bad IMO.:D Its in the sig because its a Maxima and I love them all. I want to test drive one though, That will determine if I completely like the car. From what I seen though, These maximas should just be thrown on some dubs and pushed like a big body:D

Oh, ok, I thought you were just making fun of it or something. I actually kinda like it too and it is steadily growing on me, I still don't think I'm gonna get past the Tooth though. I guess I'll go and test drive one tomorrow. I'm kinda scared though because I might end up buying it if I do.

I agree on the big body, don't know if I could do 20's on a Max, I seen some on a 97, it looked ridiculous, kinda like an Maxima SUV. 20's are too big for anything below 2k3 IMO.

Maybe we can get somebody to photshop a 2k4 with some 20's on it and a big body kit and see what it looks like.

DUBs are over played like fkn crazy. Some old white guy came into the tire shop today, he is like I want some chrome 20's for my Lexus, like he thought he is all though shit....its like common your soo over being trendy. Just pisses me off that when you get all these haters and then they go follow on trends.
