Of expendable money that I would like to put into my 2003 3.4l v6 grand am. Im wondering is 700 enough to make it noticeably quicker I know that adding power isisnt cheap but would 700 be enough to be able to notice the performance improvement in my car? What kind of things would you recommend I do, I really dont know much about cars but I work at a shop that has all the tools and stuff I would need and all the people that work with me know their shit and would be glad to help me work on the car.

well you have a couple options...honestly since u have that much i would just save 200 more bux and get headers, but i think your best bang would prolly be exhaust,CAI, and a reprogrammed PCM i would go with that but if your planning to do more internal work i would hold on the PCM and probably get ported and polished manifolds then get a 65mm TB after than then work on internals then get your PCM but its up to you and what you plan on doing.
with 700 bux your gains wont be like a whomping 30HP gain but there will be noticeable gains in the higher RPMs with atleast those 3 things.

:iagree:
A CAI and exhaust mods are the best place to start.
With the extra cash I'd get the DHP PCM from pfyc.com or muzzlymotorsport.com.
They run around $100 plus core charge,
then you get that back if you send your old PCM back.
That should give you HP you can feel.
One thing the DHP PCM will need set up and tuned to get the most out of it. A lot of speed shops or the stealership can do tune it.
They sell a tuner but it runs about $350 or so.
It is nice to have but not necessary.
I'd say tuned right you should get about 30-40hp gain with premium gas.
Keep us posted!

The coating is nice if you show your car.
I bought the nickle plated ones for the SE,
then I ended up wrapping it with exhaust heat wrap.
Plus I even welded nuts to them to install the factory heat shields.
I've lowered the under hood temps about 250 deg.
