yea lookin at a 2000 grand am SE with a 2.4 twin cam(knockin) well i hate that motor..... so what can i drop in besides that? i have a GREAT 3100SFI from a 1995 cutlass supreme i hear it will bolt right up and all i gotta do is swap my computer and harness. Is this true? Or can i put my 3300 in it?
Many questions i can get the car cheep but i want to know that it is what i want and i also have a good condition 2.4 single cam can i put the 2.4 twin cam top end on this block? if so i MIGHT go that route and turbo carge it i have all the oil piping and flanges for adapting it.... i have alwahys thought a turbo 2.4 twin cam grand am could be fun... would it be able to smoke my 93 Grand AM GT 3300? and will it be reliable? i dunno what i wanna do i love my grand am but have always wanted one of these... thansk for any input... night yall!

To install any motor besides the original one is way more work then it's worth - IMO.

Your 2.4 Dohc engine is tottaly different then the single cam and not many parts are interchangable.

Thier are lots more things you would need besides the engine wire harness, some of the dash wiring needs replaced, PCM will need reprogramed from the stealership or someone with the right scan tool(s).

I remember a day when any motor could be installed in any car, and in 1 weekend and be up and running.....
