ABS sensor

I have a 98 Ford Windstar. I exchanged a right side spindle with one I picked up from the junk yard. Now I have my ABS light on and the Trac Off light flashing. Can the ABS sensor be removed from the spindle and replaced with the one in the spindle I took off? How do I remove it if so?

It is usualy not easy to remove (without damaged it) because the sensor is often sticked by the rust. Try to soak it with PB Blaster (or similar) and be patient, you will probably have to do it a few time. Remove the small bolt and don't try to use any tool to pry it out because you will damage it.
Good luck.

I have removed ABS sensors on my Windstar - and discovered that it wasn't terribly difficult. The key is to be gentle and go slow. The portions of the sensor that actually touch the spindle are plastic, so it will eventually slide out. I can second the recommendation for PB Blaster.
