Yellow fogs!?

I saw a 3rd gen. Chrysler T&C the other day that had yellow fogs. I have been looking for yellow bulbs everywhere. Does anyone know where you can get them? The bulbs are 9040's right? In the snow and rain yellow makes such a difference. I also think it looks aesthetically nice with sylvania silverstar bulbs.

I saw some on this site, www.lightlens.com/bulbs.htm (http://www.lightlens.com/bulbs.htm) however the wattage seemed a bit higher than the stock 55 watt. Maybe this one,

Oh, some fourth generation minivans have 9040 bulbs others have the 9145 bulbs for the fog lights.
On second and third generations I'm not sure, it will either be the 9040 or the H3 I believe, both are 55 watt. H3 has a wire coming off it where the 9040 has the plug with housing. I would check the sockets on the H11 bulbs, they kinda look the same as the 9040's. Good luck.

I might not be looking in the right place but I have only found one website that sells 9040 bulbs (and they are blue, yuck). Even looking in local auto parts store's I have not found any 9040 bulbs. In the two previous websites I could not find 9040's. Am I blind or is this a hard bulb to find? What does everyone else do?

I am experimenting with something the pontiac gto guys are doing. They are putting 9005's in place of the 9040's. The connectors are the same and the output is only ten watts different. I will update on the success or failure.

I looked into that to and it should work. I started to figure after looking into it that the van you saw with the yellow lights probably did the same thing. It's 10 watts higher right?
The only bad thing I can see with this is more heat through the wiring to run the increased wattage which of course runs through wire harnesses that run other wires as well and are tightly packed. If you blow the fuse/relay do check all the wiring related with the driving lights.
This is just worse case here. You should not have a problem but just wanted to let you know if it did arise. I changed both my headlamps one day and noticed that the lights I bought were 65 watt and the lights I took out were 55 watt, of course this is the headlamp circuit. The lamps have worked fine for a few months now. Well, do post back with results.

I just replaced a Sylvania 9040 fog light bulb with a Sylvania 9145. The 9145 is almost identical to the 9040.
