I bought a totalled civic last winter, and the car had been sitting on my neighbor's property for a little over 2 years. I've now got it finished, but haven't really done anything to the motor except adding a cool air intake, replacing the radiator system and the air conditioning system. I also just did a full-tuneup which did the following:

new fuel filter
oil change
transmission filter
transmission fluid
pvc
air filter
distributor cap and button thingy lol
brake fluid
wipers
new brakes & lines
new shocksWhat else should I do to make sure once she hits the road it should go smoothly?

I would also make sure the gas and fuel lines are good.

Good luck,

How about plugs & wires, and if you have the tools or the time, check the valve clearence, then valve cover gasket.
