Just wanted to thank wiswind for his in depth pictures he volunteers.
Wife's heat went out last winter, got her a cig lighter heater that she wasn't thrilled with.
It's Getting colder around here (Sept in WA) Wife gave me an ultimatum she wants heat or Im drivin the Van this winter.
Tore apart the dash and replaced heater core. . . . .While i was on my back under the dash I noticed the damper door (it's what i call it) was cracked from the motor (motor would turn, door did nothin. Duct taped it open. and wah lah. . . .Heat.
Told the wife, 'she wanted heat, she's got heat'. . .ALLL heat (til Duct Tape gives way. Ill deal with the blend door in the spring.
Thanx again wiswind. your pics are awesome. . . i now need to replace the cooling fan relay you mention.
PS - 96 Windstar
