99 suburban injector wires

how do I get the injector wires out of the way so I can take the intake manifold off ? I can't pull the box that the wires are in to get the manifold off.

Yes, take the cover off.

The black connector on the top of the black upper plenum has a white plastic connector lock that has to be removed (if it isn't already) from the back locking tab. You should be able to remove this lock by pulling up on it. Once you do that, there is also a locking tab on the front of the connector (faces the front of the vehicle). The tabs are released by pulling slightly outward on both (one at a time works pretty well if you don't have three hands :) ) and then lifting up on the connector.
