i have a 1996 ford windstar that stalls at stops when warm....if i put it in neutral it does not stall...and when it wants to die out the red oil light starts flickering...i had recently taken the van to get a misfire fixed...all the mechanic did was replace the manifold gasket and changed the spark plugs and wires...he said it was fixed...well it wasnt fixed....it didnt start stalling out until after i got the van back from the mechanic..the misfire is still there...when i drive about 60-70 mph the vans engine shakes violently...any ideas???

If the CEL is lit, you should get the code(s) read.
Get the actual numeric code as this will help you to get down to the root cause.

I would get a can of Berryman's B-12 Chemtool at your local auto part store and add it to a tank of gasoline.
It might even take 3 tanks of gasoline, each treated with a can.

Also, I would clean the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC).

Other than that, are the routine maintenance items up to date?
Spark plugs, spark plug wires, PCV valve (verify the integrity of the vaccum line to it, Air Filter, Fuel filter, battery (less than 5 years old), clean battery terminal connections....etc
They should have cleaned the EGR ports when they were down there....if in doublt, ask them.
I know that this sounds basic...but you don't want to throw expensive parts at it, only to find out that it was a basic tune-up item.
It is super easy to overlook things...and at nearly 12 model years old.............

there is a cel on, and its blinking all the time...spark plugs were changed, and so were the wires...where is the IAC at?? and could it possibly have something to do with the fuel pump??
