0-60 Magazine/Race Day Media Toyota MR2 Turbo Project Car
WHO
0-60 Magazine (0to60mag.com (http://www.0-60mag.com)) connects the enthusiast reader with the latest in speed, power and performance. From aftermarket modifiers to OEMs, the go-fast industry is booming. 0-60 is a new generation of car magazine for today’s performance enthusiasts, with a unique editorial mix that no other American magazine delivers. 0-60 is about fast, powerful cars – the vehicles our readers crave. Manufacturers are producing performance cars that reach 0-60 in record times. Consumers clamor for more powerful engines, improved handling and performance, yet there is no magazine that exclusively covers this world. 0-60 will road test and compare new and modified cars, review the hottest go-fast goodies, provide performance driving instruction, analyze technical specs, explain the engineering behind speed, highlight the top mechanics and shops, cover the most exciting elements of motorsports, plus report on everything else that deals with the world of performance.
WHAT
0-60 and Race Day Media are building/designing a 2nd Generation Toyota MR2 Turbo. This MR2 has already been equipped with the legendary 3rd Gen 3S-GTE Toyota Powerplant. Modifications will be done within the philosophy of “function over form” With the hopes of building an MR2 that would turn heads on the street and instill fear at the track.. The focal point of the work will be custom body modifications, turbo system upgrades, fuel system upgrades, stand alone EMS, drivetrain, suspension components, exhaust, 18” staggered wheels, high performance tires, interior/instrument upgrades, lightweight audio/video set up, and an unbelievable custom paint job mixed with lots of carbon fiber goodies! We are only working with the TOP companies in the industry. This project has already been embraced by some of the industries top names, such as JIC Magic USA, Memphis Car Audio, and Mad PSI.
WHERE
The “0-60/Race Day Toyota MR2 Turbo” video build up will be introduced on 0-60mag.com(0to60mag.com (http://www.0-60mag.com)) within the next coming months. As the MR2 undergoes its transformation for its debut to the automotive world, the build process will be captured on video and will be developed into a install-by-install video blog which will run on 0-60mag.com. Secondarily footage for the video blog will be posted on a number of automotive forums and third party websites(youtube.com, heavy.com, streetfire.net, myspace.com, etc) to maximize visitors/viewers. Products, and services donated by participating parties will be featured and displayed as they are integrated into the build of the MR2. Logos, branding, and web addresses can be added to the videos to increase overall value and visibility. Print coverage of the build will consist of a minimum of two pages in 0-60 Magazine, including credit to all sponsors. Plans are being made to tour the “0-60/Race Day MR2 Turbo” to many of Canada’s and the Eastern US’s biggest and baddest automotive shows, including a stop in the west for the 2008 SEMA Show. Scheduling has yet to be finalized.
