i am preparing to replace the water pump on this vehicle and was wondering if anyone could tell me the torque spec's on the bolts. my haynes manual shows a 6 and 8mm bolt the torque specs' are 71 to 106 in-lbs and 15 to 22 ft-lbs respectfully, the nuts torque @ 71 to 106 in-lbs as well. there are 2 illustrations in the manual one for the 3.0l and one for the 3.8l, the 3.0 illustration shows having both 6 and 8mm bolts, the 3.8 picture does not specify the size of the bolts. does anyone know what the torque spec is on the bolts for the 3.8l water pump? thanks for any help.

It's 15-22 ft-lbs. Good luck!

update: completed this job on 9-1 it took a good 8 hours (wasn't really in a hurry) all i can say is i'm glad that it's over with and all seems to be well, no leaks. What a nightmare of a job, i think next time i'll just pay a mechanic $375.00 to do it, it's worth every penny.
