Hello to all, new member here: (Tom) I found a nice unmolested 65 Malibu 2dr hardtop, the only problem is that I want power steering and the thing is a 230ci six banger! I have a PS box that will work, but (darn), I can't figure out where to get the pump bracket(s)? Also, the alternator is right where I think the pump should go??? Did Chevy move the alternator up above the PS pump if that option was ordered? I'm confused! Anyone have a pic of 6 cyl. with PS pump installed? I can find all kind of kits for V-8's.
This car is a 6 cyl. powerglide with radio delete plate. No doubt a "church lady" car.
Thanks,
Tom L.

Welcome Aboard!
And, nice FIND! Photos would be nice, but I'd probably have to clean the drool off my keyboard.
You might try looking for the accessory bracket setup from a 250-inch six, since there werr more of those made and in later years (at least through 1978). I used to service a post office leased fleet of 1974 Novas with the 230 and Powerglide (no radio, no anything), but I cannot recall exactly what the bracket arrangement was like. (it was a few years or decades ago). There is a slim chance that some salvage yards might have a couple of those engines around.
Then again, I have to wonder just how long there will be a six-cylinder between the fenders, so it may be moot. But that's just me.
Some other options might be Classic Industries or Danchuk.

Hey Tom L.
I have a '65 Malibu SS with the factory 230 with PS.
I'll take a photo tomorrow and post it here.
Yes - you gotta post some pictures of your car!

Hey Tom,
Ive taken four pictures of the set-up on mine. The pump is located right above the alternator on the driver's side. Plenty of room. Send me an e-mail or PM and I'll e-mail the full-size photos.
