I looked this up on alldataDIY for my '96, and I'll bet your's is located in the same spot.
It is in the engine compartment, front, driver's side, in front of or under? the battery.
It is hard to tell from the "location" diagram.
Unfortunately, I don't have one, as DRL was not on the Windstars made for the USA market until more recently.
Canada required them long before they were required in the USA.
NOTE, if you "import" your USA vehicle with you to Canada, you will have to have the Daytime Running Light function installed on your vehicle in order to license it in Canada.

I tried looking around in the engine compartment and up under the car for the location that looks like what I see in the small picture that they show under "repair" but did not locate that.

They DO clearly warn that this unit WILL BE VERY HOT, so be careful.

This unit turns the high beam lamp ON at a reduced intensity, without lighting the "brights" lamp on the dashboard, when the ignition key is ON, the headlight switch is set to OFF, and the parking brake is fully released.

Thanks for the tip... Still unsure what it looks like.. or if this will solve the problem. My brake light on the dash is lit as well.. Wondering if a bad switch at the master cyclinder would cause the lights to stay on.
Any thoughts??
