I have a 98 Windstar.
I have just recharged the air conditioning system.
I am getting cool air only from the overhead air duct and the one by the middle seat, still luke warm from the front air ducts.
Why is this and what can I do?
Thanks for any help.

Was the ac system totally empty before you recharged it? If so, a vacuum pump will be necessary to empty the system of air and water vapour. In the meantime, you're damaging the mechanical components with use.
However, if the system was properly recharged ... and no air and water vapour allowed in the system ... you must have some control line issue. Perhaps a leaking vacuum control hose or faulty control switch is causing some air flow door not to fully actuate.
AC issues are usually best left to the experts who are familiar with the problems and solutions ... unless the DIY'r is willing to invest in learning and service equipment.
