Ever since my sister bought a Suburban a few years ago I have always wanted one. I recently bought a 1994 Suburban 1500, 4x4 and have some minor things that need attention and do not know much about them.

1. The radio does not work at all, I mean it won't even tourn on when I hit the power button. I check the fuse panel under the steering wheel area and the fuse is good. Anyother ideas?

2. Non of the interior lights work at all either. Thought maybe it was related to a fuse with the radio as well. Any thoughts on that one? Is there another fuse panel/box somewhere besides under the steering wheel?

3. Where is a good place online to try to find small interior parts that are missing. Such as a rear AC/heater vent, the control knobs for the rear AC/heater, headlight switch, and a broken seatbelt in the rear (female end)?

Look for wires under the dash that have been disconnected. Look for terminals that have backed out of the plugs.

Checked the wires on the radio and everything looks good/pluged in.

Any idea on the overhead map lights and other courtesy lights? Is it easy to take that center section down to look at it?

I just did a 98 with the same problem. I don't know if the dashs are the same. It was the headlite-dimmer switch. Pull on the plastic bezel around the instrument panel and you can at least get to the switch. Test for 12 volts on the gray wire. Gray wire goes to the dash lights. Orange is for courtesy lamps inside driver compatrment.
