Well, it looks like the Brits could get their dream race...

Qualifying-
1) Lewis Hamilton- McLaren
2) Kimi Raikkonen- Ferrari
3) Fernando Alonso- McLaren
4) Felipe Massa- Ferrari
5) Robert Kubica- BMW
6) Ralf Schumacher- Toyota
7) Heikki Kovalainen- Renault
8) Giancarlo Fisichella- Renault
9) Nick Heidfeld- BMW
10) Jarno Trulli- Toyota
...
18) Jenson Button- Honda

I'm going to go ahead and make a big guess here- Lewis Hamilton is light on fuel. He was significantly slower then Kimi and Alonso in both Q2 and Q1 but managed to edge out the competition in Q3. Being light on fuel could work out well if there are changing weather conditions, but if its like France, he could lose out to Kimi and/or Alonso between stops. Hamilton might even be on another 3 stopper, which I think would be disasterous for him.

The big suprise from qualifying was Ralfy, who has underperformed all season. I think this is the first time hes beaten Trulli at anything... all year. Heidfeld must be dissapointed with his performance, but starting from 9th can be a good thing since you get to choose your fuel load.

Honda is not back in shape, as we thought after France. They appear to be doing just as bad as they have been all season.

Prediction-
1) Kimi Raikkonen
2) Fernando Alonso
3) Felipe Massa
4) Lewis Hamilton (I just want to piss off the Brits)
5) Robert Kubica
6) Giancarlo Fisichella
7) Nick Heidfeld
8) Heikki Kovalainen

I'm sticking to my McLaren 1-2 finish prediction. Kimi looks like he could be the fastest on the track. He would've had poll if it wasn't for the slip-up on the last corner. But what's done is done.

I have a feeling about the start of the race though. I think this first corner could go south real fast. :sly:

I gotta start watching qualifyings. Anyway good luck to All Teams, It's tough to say how much Mclaren has changed the cars from last week, or Ferrari, but forget the cars for a minute, with Silverstone's esses all over the place, I want to see a real driver's race tomorrow.

I've raced online on Silverstone twice, and that track has so many times to change your pace, especially those esses after the first and second corner.

The Kimster does it again!

1) Kimi Raikkonen- Ferrari
2) Fernando Alonso- McLaren
3) Lewis Hamilton- McLaren
4) Robert Kubica- BMW-Sauber
5) Felipe Massa- Ferrari
6) Nick Heidfeld- BMW-Sauber
7) Heikki Kovalainen- Renault
8) Giancarlo Fisichella- Renault
9) Rubens Barrichello- Honda
10) Jenson Button- Honda

Another great example of a pit stop race in the front. A short fueled Hamilton managed pole, but because he pitted early, lost out to Kimi and Alonso, who managed to leapfrog both front runners. In the second stint, Alonso was short fueled and a few monster laps from Kimi brought him back into the lead to win the race. Kimi Raikkonen is now the winningest driver of the season with three wins (Massa, Alonso, and Hamilton tied at two). Unfortunately for Ferrari, Felipe Massa stalled on the start grid and had to start from pit lane. Despite starting from the pits, Massa managed to get all the way back up to 5th place, which reminded me of the Australian GP, where he went from last to 6th. Hamiltonmania? How about Kimimania :)

The BMWs had yet another race in no-mans land between the front running McLarens and Ferraris, and the slower Renaults and Williams. Kubica did a great job of holding off Massa towards the end and Heidfeld had a good race from 9th as well. Renault are starting to look like they've solidified 4th place behind BMW.

Honda has officially made complete fools of themselves. They actually took last years cars to race at Silverstone, meaning that they have wasted the entire summer. They did however beat Red Bull, Williams, Toyota, and Aguri, proving that last year's Honda was a great car and this year's is crap. 18th to 10th for Button was a good performance.

Man of the Race: Kimi Raikkonen- a few monster in laps gave Kimi the ability to pass Alonso and Hamilton in the pits. A good strategy for Ferrari and a well deserved win. His performance reminded me more of Schumacher then any of Massa's. Kimi is now ahead of Massa in the points.

Pass of the Race: Massa passing everyone up to Kubica- no, there wasn't one single pass that stood out, but 22nd (essentially) to 5th was very impressive. Few drivers could have pulled that off, even with the superfast Ferrari.

Yup, back to Speed for the rest of the season.

Good. I'm quite sick of Fox's waltzing coverage of F1. Lap, lap, commercial. Good riddance. Some performance by Massa today though.

I think I can say this is the earliest I've seen a race that I didn't have direct access the day of the race. That has to be the most exciting race I've seen all year, with the best racecraft and pit stop strategies. Sometimes, when the racing gets a bit boring, I'll count the laps to the finish, but I didn't do that this time. Kubica holding off Massa, was amazing, Kudos Kubica!!! but Massa coming from the pit area to 5th place, that was spectacular. But my favorite part, was when Hamilton's car got really twitchy and Raikkonnen started to catch up, that to me was what winning is all about, showing your skill when your prey is weakening.

This F1 Season is only the first season I've watched, save 1 race from last year, but I can honestly say, I don't want to miss any of it.
