Does any one know how to re activate the door lock remote control pendant after changing the battery
I believe you need to carryout a special procedure to reactivate the electronic code in the pendant once the battery has been changed
I have a 1997 Primera
And the pendant is a
Siemens 5WK4 782
Does any one know the procedure, currently my Nissan dealers want me to pay £90 pounds!!!!!!!! To change a battery !!!!!!
(they want me to buy a new unit, and I have two dead ones)
My e-mail is chrisherrington@hotmail.com

Well
Switch ignitition-switch exactly six times from the "LOCK" to the "ON"
position within 10 seconds and return the ignition switch to the "LOCK"
position, leaving the key in the ignition.
After 2 seconds the hazard lights will flash twice! OK now ur in!
Now press and hold the unlock button (black) while pressing the
lock button (red) 3 times. Then release the unlock button.
The hazards should flash once!
Do the same for the second fob.
When all fobs r done, turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
The hazards should flash twice!
That's it job done!

Thank you. This worked a treat. I recently bought a 99 Primera 1.6 and was having the same problem. The key fobs are working fine now.
However (there's always one isn't there?), I still set off my alarm every time I use the key to open the door. It's been like this since I purchased it.
Everything goes just fine if I use the key fobs to lock or unlock the door, but if I use the key to open the door it activates the alarm. Any ideas? Do I need to register the key? If so, any idea how?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry, this is normal. All primera's '96-on are the same, the alarm will always arm when u lock the car with the key or the fob, but will only disarm when u unlock it with the key fob or turn the key in the ignition!
