please do not try and attempt to drag race me and my dad in my 94 cherokee out of the parking lot of the library. Your '99 eclipse shows that you indeed have a 10 foot ego, 3 and a half inch dick. That is a pretty impressive CAN on your 1.8L, but it doesnt give justice to play with light SUVs

my roomate knew a guy who died in an Eclipse wreck. I dunno if I should mention how, though. Its pretty bad.

No. Seat belts didn't unbuckle after the crash and he burned to death.

emegency seat belt cutters are available everywhere including a designer model from Eddie Baure. just be sure to store it where you can reach it with the seat belts locked up. mine is velcroed in the door pocket so it won't fall out of reach in a rollover. i've never had to use it so far but i've got one in each of my newer vehicles. you don't need it with the older lap belts.

i gotta totally agree with you, jake. I can't stand any of those cars...or their drivers. No offense to ricers, but there is nothing about a fart can that impresses me. There are a couple of guys here in town who cruise in their civics....one has a red one, the other has a blue....yeah..nice huh? All you hear is FFAAAARRRRRRRTTTTTT...FAARRRRRT..fart- ( grabbed third:) ) anyway, its easy to make fun of a 4-banger with loud exhaust, but ricers take it to another level with their GIANT spoilers that make a nice eclipse looks like a nice piece of junk! IMO. Again, like jake said, I've thought how funny it'd be to see one fly off the road and crash. I don't want them to get hurt...just look really stupid and get another tin can off the road!

oh and while I'm at it, lets start a petition to make the AF logo (car) an American v6 or v8!!!

I was cruising to a party in the 94 grand am GT i had, got to a sotp light and this moron in a civic with a LOUD exaust (sounded like it was backfireing every time he hit the gas), neons, BIG huge CARBON FIBRE spoiler, air scoop on the hood (yeah.. like thatll increase HP.. he didnt even have holes in it) puleld up to me and started revving the shit out of his engine.

I saw a cop behind him. Perfect.

I popped mine in Neutral and revved it onced and pointed and laughed at him (sounded louder than his exaust too lol), and he TOOK off THROUGH the red light, and BLEW the transmission going into SECOND! I just slowly cruised by him as the cop put his lights on and gave me a thumbs up, haha.

Have to say that was my favorite night of crusing, hah.:popcorn:

Well around here cops dont bust you for revving your engine (unless its excessively). I waited till the light turned green and i rolled by not speeding.. and the cop probaly knew i was messing with him because i pointed and laughed.so.. and plus im sure hed rather get the guy who ran the red light racing... or.. well.. TRYING to race all ricer style.



Decently sure its his dads car or something.. man.. he was PISSED haha.

Its annoying for people with ground effects, wings, ect to take an otherwise stock car and try to make it out to be something that its not. But you never know what will happen until you line em up. Some "ricers" will hand you your ass if they catch you sleepin, its not unheard of. Not all are just looks, some people actually know what they are doing and can pull some good power out of modern 4 or 6 cyls. They have potential to be pretty strong and fast considering the typical displacement of the engines they use.

For whatever reason I feel a strong ignorance vs. ignorance vibe in this thread. Who gives a fuck about ricers, just worry about your own car and don't sink to their level.

And my exhaust sounded damn good on my "1.8" aka 2.0 420A engine thank you very much, lol.

If someone wants to mod their car and make a production about showing it off, then the rest of us can laugh our asses off at their stupidity :lol:

like what, a 3.1L Lumina that makes a whopping 160 hp and runs 17's in the 1/4 mile? or a 3.8L lumina that has a motor making less hp than Japanese motors with almost a full Liter less displacement. yeah let's make one of those our logo.:rolleyes:

GM 3.8 V-6 is one of the best motors ever IMhO.

i know a few people with crazy fast imports. i'm a chevy guy myself, but after an sti got away from me, i learned that 'ricers' can be quick.

the kids with fart cans and wings are really not any different than kids putting 21" rims and a monster tach on a stock 6 cylinder mustang. there's always poseurs somewhere.

We're all impressed. The whole around the corner part is where i lost interest. Would have been better to say it to his face, and if you weren't lying. So for that "ricer" story....3/10 tops
