ok now, this is domestic versus import, everyones favorite kind of comparison. anywho, if i were to choose one of these awesome machines, i would give the VR-4 a slight edge, but that is only my opinion, given the turbos and the skill of the driver, it could be a good race.

Stock to stock, the ZR1 will eat a VR4 for lunch. While I would much rather have a VR4 (clearly since I own two) I dont doubt for a minute which is faster.
The VR4 is more fun, comfortable and a bigger head turner, but not faster.

yeah i agree with YogsVR4. the zr1 is clearly faster than the vr4. so what's your question? which would you have or which one is faster? i'm not sure which one i'd rather have. they're both awesome cars. though mainly an import guy, i've always liked corvettes.

yup. the VR4 is over weight, and under powered compared to the ZR-1

the ZR-1 has advantages but it isn't without it's problems, a rebuild will cost you in the tens of thousands, the motor is impossibly complicated (thanks lotus) and the parts for it are getting more and more rare, though a custom crank, rods & pistons wouldn't cost much more then stock replacements anyway.
Very tricky engines, not a very good design for what GM intended it for, but thats what happens when you let lotus take lead design in an engine. stock for stock the ZR-1 will be faster, the car held the 24 hour speed record for ~9 years, maybe it was 11, but modded it's anyones game, the VR4 will definitly be cheaper though.
