Well the title speaks for it self. I have recently decided i would like a burban for my next project truck. I happen to find one in amazing condition for a total steal... at least i hope so.
how ever it has barn doors, never been a fan of them and with my plans for the vehicle i need a tail gate.
Basicly what i want to do is take the back half of it, chopped it and make it look like an avanalche. i know, not an orginal idea, but i saw one the other day and drooled over it... also would make a cool project for me in my mechanics class
i am aware of what needs to be done to the cab and such, but my biggest concern in the tail gate. I have a GMC pickup with a donor cab and a decent box on it, would i be able to simply cut a foot off the back of the box, including tail gate, then just weld it on the the burban body?
looking for your thoughts here,
Thank You

That will work, the only thing you need is time and red eyes of all the welding and grinding :smokin:
