What this place should be called, I am finding Napa to be a waste of a store that should just go out of business.
Why? Well I got many rants as to why this is a poor store to get parts or anything from.
#1) They dont know what they looking at on a computer when they search for parts
#2) They never have what you looking for for anything, OH........but go their for lawn mower parts and they have it.
#3) Outraegous prices, recently I want to buy a water pump, according to napa a new one would cost $120 and rebuilt would of been about $60. So I went to carquest and got a rebuilt one for $22..........wtf????
#4) You may get your part, but it may end up being the wrong one.
In the end this place sucks bad, I sometimes wonder what exactly stock they do carry in the back if everytime you go in there for something they dont have it and have to order it.
I go to carquest and hes happy with Napa because he says he has what Napa cant look up and everyone goes to him instead.

Napa is a store I gather.
If you go to a bottle shop and they don't have something so specific you don't have, ask them to order it in, parts shops work much the same.
When it comes to ordering shit in, stores will often order more of one thing in, if that particular object sells well, or is in high demand, for example the lawn mower parts.
Not everyone had a water pump, no point in a shop buying something to sell if no one will buy it, that is a waste of money.

I went there for door locks once. They are supposed to have 4 of each and they did not have one entire set. Everything was mis-matched.

I've ordered parts from them in the past, most of the time they were the wrong one due to the person looking in the book not following the line and ordering the wrong part. Gets old very quickly.

Sorry to hear the bad experiences. I love my NAPA store (even though it is indeed overpriced). Nothin' but a bunch of old experienced hicks who know what they're talkin' about & get shit right the first time. The CarQuest store here can't say that.

in a big chain like NAPA the quality of stores vary, sorry you had such a bad experience but i really like the one in town here. you can beat the price, but you can't beat the knowledge and service at ours. it seems all the other parts stores in town have to call the same warehouse and have the parts delivered which is a real pain because you have to wait a couple of hours and if the part delivered is wrong you have to wait again. the NAPA guys usualy get it right the first time and they have their own warehouses so you can drive over to and pick up the part if you're in a hurry.

whenever i order parts i fill out the forms. i tell the staff i want to fill it out, so if something arrives and it's the wrong part it's my fault. (of course, i check after and so far i've yet to receive a wrong part)
other than that, i argue with people when they're wrong. like yesterday i argued with a "service advisor" about the bull he was coming up with. i went with my neighbours because they thought they were being scammed by a garage. apprently, when removing a rear brake drum on their car, the rear wheel bearing "crumbled". how exactly a hardened steel wheel bearing crumbled, i don't know.

Seen it happen, it's not impossible, just not very frequent that it happens.
